On January 7, a woman was rescued from the waters of the Jiu River after her car ended up in the riverbed. The incident was reported via a call to 112 at 6:00 PM. Police officers Andrei and Marian, from the Târgu Jiu Municipal Police, intervened promptly, finding that the woman was in imminent danger inside the vehicle.

Without hesitation, the two officers entered the water and managed to save her. The victim was later taken by medical teams and transported to the hospital for care. This incident highlights the courage and professionalism of the police officers, who acted with dedication in the face of a critical situation.
