A 73-year-old woman from Pitești was fined 3,000 lei for abandoning six kittens on a vacant lot, an incident captured in images posted online. The police in Argeș took notice after observing the footage in which the woman and an accomplice throw the animals into a bag and place them in the trunk of the car. Upon learning of the fine, the woman reacted with indifference, claiming that the abandoned kittens do not belong to her. The police confirmed that the sanction was applied according to Law 205/2004 regarding the protection of animals, emphasizing the importance of responsibility towards animals. This incident sparked reactions online, highlighting the issue of animal abandonment.
