The low-cost airline Wizz Air has announced the launch of three direct routes from Oradea International Airport to Milan Bergamo, Rome Fiumicino, and Dortmund. Flights to Milan will take place on Tuesdays and Saturdays, starting from March 31, 2026, while the routes to Rome and Dortmund will begin on June 28, operating every Wednesday and Sunday. Fares start from 79 lei for a single segment.
Anastasia Novak, Wizz Air representative, emphasized the company's commitment to expanding regional connectivity in Romania. Wizz Air, active in Romania since 2006, currently operates 219 routes from 14 airports and has over 1,600 employees. The President of the Bihor County Council, Mircea Mălan, stated that the new flights will support tourism development and attract investors to the county.
