Wizz Air has announced the launch of a new route from Brașov-Ghimbav International Airport, which will be operated every Tuesday and Saturday, starting from June 9, 2026. This expansion brings the total number of destinations operated by the company from this airport to 10, from five different countries. The new routes added in the last year contribute to strengthening Wizz Air's network in Romania, improving connectivity between key regions of the country and economic centers in Europe. Since the start of operations in Romania in 2006, Wizz Air has consistently invested in this strategic market, now having 214 routes available from 14 airports in the country, connecting passengers to 82 destinations in 27 countries. In its 19 years of operation, the company has opened nine operational bases and has over 1,600 employees in Romania.
