The airline Wizz Air announced that the software update requested by Airbus has been successfully implemented on all aircraft in the Airbus A320 family, allowing normal operation of scheduled flights for Saturday. The company confirmed that it does not expect any further disruptions following this update.
This was necessary after Airbus issued a massive recall for a significant part of the global A320 fleet due to a software issue related to solar radiation, which could affect flight control systems.
The incident that triggered the recall occurred on October 30, when a JetBlue flight made an emergency landing due to a control issue. Wizz Air, which operates a fleet of 250 Airbus aircraft, emphasized that passenger safety remains its priority.
