Meteorologists issued three yellow weather alerts on Friday morning, valid until March 30, for significant precipitation, strong winds, and blizzard snow in the mountainous area.
The first yellow alert, valid from March 27, 10:00 AM to March 30, 10:00 AM, affects southern Banat, Oltenia, Muntenia, Dobrogea, and most of Moldova, where heavy rains are expected, accompanied by thunderstorms. In the mountains, at altitudes over 1600 m, snow and blizzards will be recorded, with snow accumulations of 40-50 cm. Additionally, a yellow alert for strong winds is in effect in southern Banat, Oltenia, Muntenia, and Transylvania, with gusts of up to 100 km/h in mountainous areas. A new yellow wind alert will be active from March 27, 10:00 PM to March 28, 5:00 PM, in Oltenia and the western half of Muntenia, with temporary intensifications of 50-65 km/h.
