Meteorologists announce an intense heat wave, lasting until the end of next week. Temperatures of up to 40 degrees.

Romania is entering a new heatwave period, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees in the shade in the west of the country and tropical nights in several regions.

For the period from Friday, July 31, 10:00 AM – Saturday, August 1, 10:00 AM, the ANM has issued:

Orange heat warning for the counties of Timiș, Arad, Bihor, and Satu Mare. Maximum temperatures will reach around 38 degrees, thermal discomfort will be heightened, and at night temperatures will not drop below 20-24 degrees.

Yellow warning for the south and west of Oltenia, the south of Banat, most of Transylvania, and Maramureș. Temperatures will reach 33-35 degrees in Transylvania and approximately 37 degrees in the south of Banat, and there will be tropical nights in some areas.

In some areas, nights will be tropical, with minimum temperatures ranging between 20 and 24 degrees.
