On Monday, a man passionate about metal detecting discovered a war grenade in perfect working condition in a forest near the town of Drislea. Aware of the danger, he immediately alerted the bomb disposal team of the Botoșani Emergency Situations Inspectorate. The bomb disposal experts identified the munition as an RG-42 model offensive hand grenade, which posed a risk of explosion upon any mechanical touch. During the clearance of the area, the team also found a 7.65 mm caliber cartridge. The munition was collected and transported to the military range at Copălău for subsequent destruction.
