VIDEO First images of the sunken ship after it was hit by a drone

The Ministry of Internal Affairs published images on Friday of the vessel flying the flag of the Comoros Islands that was hit by a drone 13 miles from the Port of Constanța. It sank almost completely.

The Romanian Naval Authority was alerted around 10:00 a.m. regarding the vessel “Khoryv,” which was in distress outside Romania’s territorial waters, 13 nautical miles abeam of Constanța.

There were 13 crew members on board: 10 Ukrainian citizens and 3 Azerbaijani citizens. One sailor was found dead, three were reported missing, and nine were rescued.

President Nicușor Dan announced that a drone had hit the vessel and that it was “an event in the process of escalation that Russia is carrying out in the war in Ukraine.”
