Member of the European Parliament Victor Negrescu shared on his Facebook page a historic discovery made in the library of the National Assembly of the French Republic, where he found old maps of Romania and Transylvania, with Alba Iulia in the foreground, and a letter signed by Tache Ionescu. Negrescu highlighted that these documents are a reminder of the close ties between Romania and France, regardless of the political context. He also mentioned that returning to Paris, as part of a delegation led by the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Sorin Grindeanu, has personal significance for him, considering his political activity in France. Discussions with the President of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, focused on strengthening pro-European relations and intensifying economic cooperation, including in the field of defense.
