Monica Berescu said that the communist regime is a collective trauma, not a political doctrine, and that young people do not want communism, but are influenced by a disinformation campaign. She emphasized that democracy is being eroded by lies and fake news, and that manipulation is being done by algorithms on social networks. Berescu called for solid historical education and transparent reforms to regain citizens' trust in state institutions.
