USR Deputy Claudiu Năsui has initiated a legislative project to eliminate the special pensions of mayors, arguing that it is immoral for the Government not to reduce the privileges of politicians.

Claudiu Năsui, USR deputy, announced on Facebook the initiation of a legislative project aimed at abolishing the special pensions of mayors. He emphasizes that, in the context of rising taxes, it is immoral for the Government not to reduce spending on the privileges of politicians. Năsui mentioned that the pensions of magistrates represent only 8% of the total cost of special pensions, and the state spent 1.5 billion lei on these pensions last month.

He accuses the Government of delaying the application of the law to avoid responsibility, wanting the special pensions to be implemented through the intervention of the Constitutional Court. His project aims to prevent this situation, arguing that it is necessary to repeal the law on special pensions for mayors before it comes into force. Năsui promises to inform the public about the support for the project from the Government and the vote in Parliament.
