The Ministry of Health announced urgent measures at the Children's Hospital in Iași after tests revealed the presence of a bacterium in the tap water. Admissions have been suspended, and only major emergencies will be accepted. Patients and medical staff will receive drinking water from the state reserve. The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, ordered the collection of new water samples and halted scheduled surgical interventions.

Additionally, critical cases will be redirected to other healthcare facilities. The County Emergency Situations Committee allocated 14,500 liters of bottled water to ensure the continuity of operations in safe conditions. The Ministry is monitoring the situation and has established a crisis cell to coordinate the transfer of patients if necessary. The measures are preventive, aimed at avoiding a potential epidemiological outbreak.
