The unemployment rate in June 2025 was 5.8%, holding steady from the previous month, according to the NSO. The total number of unemployed was estimated at 469,800, down from May but up from the same period last year. The unemployment rate was higher among men (5.9%) compared to women (5.6%), and among young people it reached an alarming 24.8%. The unemployment rate for adults was 4.6%.
