According to the ANOFM, the unemployment rate fell to 3.19% in May 2025, with 254,594 unemployed, of which 51,563 were on benefits. The number of unemployed on benefits fell by 1,883 and the number of unemployed not on benefits fell by 2,261. Most of the unemployed come from rural areas (188,632), with men (136,434) and people aged 40-49 (65,033) most affected. The share of the unemployed with primary education and without education is significant, reaching 31.98%.
