Ukraine launched, on Wednesday, a mechanism that allows partner countries to purchase Ukrainian weapons and military technologies, with the aim of raising funds to finance its armed forces, four years after the start of the Russian invasion. Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov stated that countries that have signed intergovernmental agreements with Ukraine will be able to collaborate directly with Ukrainian manufacturers.
Since the beginning of the conflict, Ukraine has depended on its allies for armament, but has also developed its own technologies, especially in the field of drones. Fedorov emphasized that export will only be possible if the supply to the Ukrainian army is guaranteed. Prime Minister Iulia Sviridenko mentioned that between 20% and 30% of the revenues obtained will be allocated to a special fund for the development of the defense industry. President Zelensky announced the initiative in September 2025, considering the sale of drones in the United States.
Ukraine has received significant aid from European countries and the USA, exceeding 329 billion euros since 2022.
