On Wednesday, in the locality of Gherghița in Prahova County, two workers who were digging a trench for the sewer system were caught under a landslide of earth that collapsed on them. The incident occurred at a depth of approximately five meters, and the ISU Prahova rescuers were quickly mobilized to free them.

The intervention teams include firefighters, a rescue crew, a multi-risk container, SMURD ambulances, and ambulances from the County Ambulance Service. Authorities have warned that there is still a risk of further landslides in the area, complicating the rescue operations.
