Two Serbian nationals, a 37-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, were detained by DIICOT prosecutors for international drug trafficking. They had smuggled 66.5 kilograms of cocaine into Romania through Giurgiu, hidden in 264 packets under the bed of a motorhome. The drugs, valued at €3.5 million, were discovered on the A1 highway and the judge ordered the suspects remanded in custody for 30 days. The operation involved several police forces.
