Two people have been detained for the theft of 4,000 liters of fuel from a train in Fundulea, after 7 searches.

The police in Călărași have detained two individuals suspected of qualified theft, after they stole 4,000 liters of fuel from a stationary freight train in Fundulea in December 2025. Following the execution of 7 home searches in Fundulea and Sărulești, 805 liters of gasoline and diesel were discovered, as well as equipment used during the theft. Additionally, at the home of one suspect, the use of clandestine installations for direct connection to the electrical network was found, which led to the drafting of a criminal case. The two detained individuals were taken to the Călărași Police Inspectorate's Center for Detention and Preventive Arrest for further investigation.
