Two men, aged 46 and 36, from the locality of Strâmba, were apprehended by police in Bistrița for qualified smuggling and violation of the arms and ammunition regime. The incident occurred on November 21, when the two were caught picking up a package sent from Spain, which contained two lethal long guns, a silencer, and a night vision device. The 36-year-old man attempted to flee but was intercepted by the police. Authorities also conducted two home searches as part of the investigation. The apprehended individuals will be presented to the magistrates for preventive measures, and investigations continue by the Office of Arms, Explosives, and Dangerous Substances.
