Gorj: Two men, aged 28 and 40, have been arrested for high-risk drug trafficking and pimping, being accused of selling cocaine and supporting prostitution.

Two men, aged 28 and 40, have been placed in preventive detention for high-risk drug trafficking, being accused that, in 2025, they procured, possessed, and sold cocaine to consumers in Gorj County. The 40-year-old man, a repeat offender, is also being investigated for pimping, being accused of having supported two young women to engage in prostitution in Sweden, Norway, and Ireland in the last five years.

DIICOT prosecutors conducted five home searches, confiscating drugs, grinders, pyrotechnic objects, and other evidence. The judge for rights and freedoms from the Gorj Tribunal ordered the preventive arrest of the two for 30 days. The action was supported by police and gendarmes from Gorj.
