A Turkish firm is under investigation for using falsified documents in the tender for the modernization of Kogălniceanu Airport, which could lead to the loss of €32 million in EU funds. The Transport Ministry emphasizes that the contractual responsibility lies with the airport, which reported the irregularities. The Court of Auditors has referred the matter to the European Public Prosecutor's Office, and if the fraud is confirmed, the authorities may take action to recover the damages. The firms involved must provide sworn statements as to the veracity of the documents.
