Tudor Gheorghe's impresario said on Friday that the artist, aged 80, is well, after he reportedly fainted in a hotel in Iași. According to him, Tudor Gheorghe suffered a drop in blood pressure, while doctors stated that he only sustained minor injuries and was discharged shortly after.
The artist's son, Adrian Tudor, immediately called for an ambulance after the artist felt unwell, most likely due to a sudden drop in blood pressure, according to his impresario, Pepino Popescu.
Unlike the initial information, which indicated that Tudor Gheorghe fainted in the bathroom, the impresario clarified that he was in the living room of the hotel room.
After a medical check-up, the artist was discharged, and hospitalization was not necessary.
"All necessary investigations were carried out, he suffered minor injuries. His condition is very good, so he was discharged. He can resume his activities," said Dr. Lucian Eva, manager of the Neurosurgery Hospital in Iași, according to News.ro.
Pepino Popescu assured the public that Tudor Gheorghe will hold a concert in Bacău on April 25, 2026, the incident having no impact on his schedule.
The Iași County Police Inspectorate confirmed that Tudor Gheorghe was transported to the hospital for care after he fell and hit his head. However, his health condition is now stable.
