Trump has mocked Nicușor Dan's position at the Peace Council: "Prime Minister Dan"

The American president Donald Trump misidentified Nicușor Dan's position, presenting him as prime minister, not as president, during the first meeting of the Peace Council. Trump also praised the Romanian people as being "wonderful" and "hopeful."

Trump emphasized Romania's contribution to stabilization and pacification efforts in Gaza.

Nicușor Dan, who is present in Washington as an observer, is expected to deliver a speech, during the meeting of the Peace Council.

Ambassador Andrei Muraru confirmed the importance of Romania's participation in this council, mentioning that from the European Union, only Hungary and Bulgaria accepted the invitation to become members of the Peace Council.
