During an event organized by Turning Point USA, Donald Trump stated that he will soon begin publishing documents related to UFOs and unidentified aerial phenomena, highlighting the high public interest in this subject. In February, Trump called on government agencies to make this information available, accusing Barack Obama of mishandling classified information.
Obama stated that aliens are "real," but clarified that he did not see evidence of extraterrestrial contact during his term, while still mentioning the likelihood of life existing in the universe. Although Trump acknowledged that he had not encountered evidence of aliens, the Pentagon investigated numerous reports of UFOs, concluding that there is no evidence that aliens have visited Earth, with most sightings being explained by ordinary phenomena. A 2024 report confirmed that investigations by the U.S. government did not identify evidence of extraterrestrial technology.
