Four people died on Friday after a train hit a car at a level crossing between Vidra and Jilava, blocking rail traffic.

On Friday, a serious railway accident occurred between the Vidra train station and Jilava station, when train R 9708, operated by CFR Călători, hit a vehicle at a marked level crossing. As a result of the impact, four people have been confirmed dead. The National Railway Company CFR announced that the incident took place around 3:00 PM, and intervention teams were sent to the scene to manage the situation. Until the investigations by the authorities are completed, the train will remain stationed at the accident site, and rail traffic is completely blocked.
