Railway accident in Miercurea-Ciuc. One deceased person and injured minors.

A serious railway accident occurred in Miercurea Ciuc, on Sunday afternoon, where a carriage with several people was hit by a train.

As a result of the impact, one person died, and another person was transported to the hospital. Three minors were medically evaluated at the scene. Fire crews, ambulances, and a SMURD helicopter participated in the intervention, which took one of the minors. Rail traffic on the CF 400 Main Line was halted, and authorities estimate that traffic will resume after 6:30 PM. The accident occurred at a level crossing with the railway, and authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
