A mother and father of a baby girl died in the Danube trying to save their 9-month-old baby. The baby is now safe.

A tragedy happened on the Danube in Giurgiu, where a 20-year-old mother and her 9-month-old baby went into the water. Strong currents pulled the young woman into a sinkhole and the father, noticing, jumped in to save her. Although he managed to keep his daughter afloat, he too was pulled under. After searching, divers found the parents' bodies. The girl is now in the care of her family and is out of danger.
