Starting from Saturday, road traffic will be restricted on several arteries in Bucharest, especially on Calea Victoriei, where a segment will be closed to vehicles, being open only to pedestrians as part of the 'Open Streets' project. Additionally, a public gathering organized by the Pentecostal Church Philadelphia will take place in Victoriei Square, and repair works at Basarab Passage will begin, affecting public transport and car traffic.
The works will last until the end of the year and aim to replace some degraded elements of the infrastructure. During the restrictions, alternative routes will be provided and deviated public transport lines will be established. Authorities promise that all works will be completed by the end of the year, ensuring safety for both pedestrians and drivers.
