Starting from Thursday, road traffic will open on lot 3 Pietroasele - Buzău of the A7 Highway, allowing drivers to travel from Bucharest to Focșani on nearly 192 km of highway. This opening will eliminate the need to detour via DN2 E85. The section was financed through PNRR, with a value of approximately 1 billion lei, and the contractor met the execution deadline of 20 months.
By Christmas, the opening of the Focșani - Adjud section, approximately 49 km long, is expected. The director of Pro Infrastructura, Ionuț Ciurea, emphasized the importance of completing the works by August 2026 to access non-reimbursable funds from PNRR. This year, Romania inaugurated nearly 100 km of high-speed infrastructure.
