The DNA prosecutors have detained for 24 hours three officials from the Sector 5 City Hall: Iulian Constantin Cârlogea, public administrator, Robert-Mihai Bășca, chief architect, and Florin Chioran, deputy general director of the Local Police. They are accused of corruption related to a total sum of 40,000 euros, allegedly requested to influence officials within the State Inspectorate for Construction.
Between December 2025 and February 2026, A.R.A. allegedly received the money in two installments, promising interventions to expedite the issuance of the necessary documents for the completion of a building's construction. Cârlogea allegedly insisted on accelerating the process, while Chioran allegedly signed the necessary documents without verifying the work. Additionally, Chioran was involved in receiving sums of money to facilitate the taxation of certain properties. The three will be presented to the Bucharest Tribunal with a proposal for preventive detention.
