Three men, aged 27, 35, and 38, have been placed in preventive detention in the municipality of Arad, accused of drug trafficking. Prosecutors documented a cannabis trafficking network, and the suspects were caught in the act while trying to sell two kilograms of cannabis for 6,600 euros. According to the Arad County Police Inspectorate, the men used the 'dead drop' method, transporting the drugs with a children's stroller.
Following the searches, the police confiscated over a kilogram of cannabis and sums of money in lei and euros. The Arad Tribunal decided to place the three under preventive arrest for 30 days, as part of an investigation that began in May 2026.
