Three people were injured after a car drove onto the wrong side of the road on Pipera Bridge and hit two cars and an STB bus

Three people were injured on Thursday, October 22, 2026, in an accident that occurred at around 12:30 p.m. on Pipera Bridge in the north of the capital, after a car entered the opposite lane and collided with two other cars and an STB bus.

According to the Traffic Brigade, the car’s driver, a 39-year-old man, was traveling on Pipera Road from Nicolae Caramfil Boulevard toward the city of Voluntari. For reasons yet to be established, he allegedly lost control of the vehicle and ended up on the opposite side of the road.

Following the collision, three people were taken to hospital for medical care. All the drivers involved were tested with a breathalyzer, and the results were negative.

To allow the intervention, investigation of the scene and traffic management, police imposed restrictions on Pipera Road in the direction of Nicolae Caramfil Boulevard. Traffic moved alternately on the other side of the road, under the guidance of traffic officers. Police are continuing their investigation to establish the exact causes and circumstances of the accident.
