The police in Dolj have detained three individuals for tax evasion and other economic crimes, causing a damage of nearly 16 million lei.

Three people, two women and one man, have been detained by the police in Dolj as part of an investigation targeting a security and protection company with contracts with the Regional Branch CF Craiova. The estimated damage in this case amounts to nearly 16 million lei, including tax evasion and money laundering.

The investigation is part of Operation 'Jupiter', aimed at combating economic crime and protecting the state budget. The checks began in 2022, and the investigations revealed criminal activities that led to significant damages. Preventive measures have been instituted on the assets of the involved individuals. Three suspects have been detained, and two of them have been placed in preventive custody for 30 days, while the third has been placed under judicial control for 60 days.
