Three Chinese citizens were stopped on Wednesday, August 6, at the Stamora-Moravița Border Crossing, in an attempt to enter Romania with false visas, apparently issued by the Polish authorities. Border police noticed irregularities in the travel documents, which did not meet legal requirements and showed signs of forgery.

Following the checks, the authorities decided to ban them from entering Romania and the Schengen area, while also initiating a criminal case for attempted illegal border crossing, material forgery in official documents, and use of forgery. Additionally, a five-year entry ban to the Schengen states was requested. After the legal procedures were completed, the three were returned to the authorities in Serbia. The Border Police emphasizes the importance of verifying the authenticity of documents to combat illegal migration and cross-border crime.
