Energy group number 5 at the Turceni Power Plant was shut down on Thursday morning at 1:00 AM due to sealing issues with the water-air boiler, which no longer presented operational safety.
The management of the Oltenia Energy Complex decided to shut down the group to carry out the necessary repairs, which will result in a loss of 220 megawatts in the National Energy System, equivalent to the daily production of this group.
According to management estimates, the group at Turceni could be restarted on Monday around 3:00 PM, if the repairs are successfully completed.
