On Thursday, the training ship 'Mircea' will depart from the military port of Constanța for an international training march that will last five months. This is the fourth transatlantic expedition of the ship, following those in 1976, 2004, and 2009. The crew consists of 188 members, including 75 cadets from the second year at the 'Mircea cel Bătrân' Naval Academy and 19 foreign students from ten partner countries.

The ship will participate in training activities at sea and will represent Romania in various ports, including at the ceremonies dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the independence of the USA. 'Mircea' will sail approximately 14,000 nautical miles, making stops in 15 ports in Italy, Spain, Portugal, the USA, Puerto Rico, Canada, Tunisia, Greece, and Turkey, returning to Constanța in September.
