The Senate adopted on Monday a bill that provides for the elimination of the compensatory allowance equivalent to the net income for six months, granted to judges of the Constitutional Court (CCR) at the end of their term. PNL Senator Glad Varga emphasized that this vote reflects the desire to correct aspects that correspond to the expectations of citizens. The project, initiated by Varga together with other colleagues, was submitted immediately after the Parliament was convened, based on previous discussions about this payment. Varga explained that the legislative amendment aims to eliminate a benefit considered unjustified and was adopted with 105 votes in favor, 1 against, and one abstention. The project will now be sent to the Chamber of Deputies for the final vote.
