The National Administration of Penitentiaries (ANP) intervened promptly, securing the system and collecting evidence to identify those responsible.

The minister emphasized that the ANP has the responsibility to identify vulnerabilities in the penitentiary system, which manages a large number of inmates and employees. He also denied any speculation of cover-up and confirmed that there were no unauthorized releases.

The National Union of Prison Police Officers mentioned that inmates had created administrator accounts, having total access to the system's information, which allowed them to modify data related to sentences and the mobility of other inmates.
