Daniel Băluță announced the repeal of the urban development tax during the Local Council meeting, as well as the provision of financial support of 600 lei for the purchase of fuels. These measures, which will come into effect on April 1, 2026, are intended to help citizens in the context of the accelerated price increases affecting the standard of living. Băluță emphasized the importance of solidarity during this difficult period for Romania, stating that the decisions made are not incidental, but necessary. The urban development tax, introduced at the beginning of 2025, was supposed to be applied for ten years, but it was repealed in response to the needs of the citizens. Băluță encouraged community unity to overcome these challenges.
