The second auction for the sale of the Mangalia Shipyard took place on Wednesday, July 29, but no bidders showed up, according to the Rador press agency.

The starting price remained at 184 million euros, excluding VAT, the same as in the first auction on June 29. The judicial liquidator, CITR, announced that the sale targets a unique package of assets, including land, buildings, and equipment necessary for the operation of the shipyard.

The Creditors' Assembly established that there will be at least six auctions, each having a market price over 100 million euros higher than the liquidation value.

At the time of the second auction, all 1,011 employees of the shipyard were no longer on site, with the last contracts ending on July 15. A third auction is scheduled for August 28.
