The Police Union of Romania criticized the award given to Deputy Prime Minister Cătălin Predoiu in the USA, highlighting a dissonance between his international recognition and internal dissatisfaction. During the protests in the Capital, citizens demanded Predoiu's resignation, considering him responsible for the situation in justice.

The union stated that if Romania had ten people like him, "probably no one would be left to turn off the lights."
