Suceava Police conducted three searches and confiscated 8 tons of alcohol, estimating the damage at 900,000 lei.

The Municipality Police of Rădăuți, with the support of other units, carried out, during the period of May 11-12, 2026, three home searches as part of a criminal case concerning tax offenses.

The action took place under the coordination of the Prosecutor's Office next to the Rădăuți Court and was motivated by suspicions regarding the illegal sale of excise goods. Following the searches, the police confiscated approximately 7,676 liters of ethyl alcohol and 138 one-liter bottles, estimating the total value of the alcohol at 898,610 lei.

Additionally, two vehicles valued at 15,000 euros, which contained alcohol, were seized. The police continue investigations to establish the exact circumstances of the illegal activities and to apply sanctions according to the current legislation regarding excise goods.
