The police in Constanța carried out, between March 27 and April 8, actions to prevent and combat environmental crime, focusing on waste management. Following checks conducted at four economic operators, five contraventions were identified, sanctioned with fines totaling 80,000 lei.

The fines were imposed for improper waste disposal and non-compliance with their removal obligations, according to O.U.G. no. 92/2021 and H.G. no. 856/2002. Additionally, the police discovered a crime related to the abandonment, throwing, or hiding of waste outside authorized spaces, thus highlighting the importance of adhering to environmental regulations. These actions come in the context of efforts to protect the environment and ensure responsible behavior from economic operators.
