A Bulgarian tourist was injured by a bear on DN 7C – Transfăgărășan, on May 27, and was fined 20,000 lei for feeding bears in the wild. The incident was reported by the man at the Vidraru Dam Guard Post, where he requested help after being bitten by the animal. The Argeș Gendarmerie imposed the penalty according to Law 407/2006, emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety rules in areas with bear presence.
Authorities recommend that tourists do not stop in prohibited areas, avoid feeding wild animals, and do not camp in isolated places. It is also essential for hikers to stay on marked trails and not approach wild animals. The injured tourist received medical assistance after the incident.
