Police discovered on Saturday, in the Cap Sahalin area, illegal fishing nets with a total length of 950 meters, in which six sturgeon specimens, five dolphins, and one shark were caught.


All specimens were released, and the fishing gear was confiscated for further investigation.


Following this action, a criminal case was opened for offenses related to poaching.


Border police are actively working to identify the perpetrators of these illegal acts, emphasizing the importance of protecting marine biodiversity.
