This opening coincides with the celebrations of the Nativity of the Lord, New Year, and the Baptism of the Lord, thus offering pilgrims and visitors from the country and abroad the opportunity to worship. It is important to mention that during this period, the National Cathedral will be open only for visits, without liturgical services, which will continue to take place in the historic Patriarchal Cathedral and at the Chapel of the Cathedral of the Salvation of the Nation. After January 8, 2026, the National Cathedral will be temporarily closed for the completion of interior works.
