The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has announced a travel advisory for Romanian citizens who are in or intend to travel to Greece, where a strike in the maritime sector is scheduled for May 1. According to the announcement from the Panhellenic Maritime Confederation, all ships, including ferries that provide transport between the mainland and the Greek islands, will remain docked in ports throughout the day, starting at 00:01.

The MFA reminds that Romanians can request consular assistance at the phone numbers of the Romanian Embassy in Athens and the General Consulate in Thessaloniki, with calls being redirected to the Contact and Support Center for Romanian Citizens Abroad.

In case of emergency, citizens have access to the emergency phones of the embassy and consulate. The MFA also recommends consulting official websites for updated information.
