The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) has issued a travel warning for North Macedonia, where, starting from January 26, freight carriers will organize protests that could last up to seven days.
These actions will restrict traffic for freight vehicles at border crossing points, including Deve Bair, Delchevo, and Bogorodica, with the exception of the transport of medicines, live animals, or those specific to security. Passenger traffic will continue without impediments.
MAE recommends that Romanian citizens avoid the affected border areas, stay constantly informed about traffic conditions, and follow the instructions of local authorities. Citizens can request consular assistance at the Romanian Embassy in Skopje, and for emergencies, there is a dedicated phone number. MAE emphasizes the importance of consulting online resources for updated information.
