The interim Minister of Finance, led by Alexandru Nazare, has implemented a cybersecurity measure by blocking access to various online platforms, including TikTok, WhatsApp, Gmail, and ChatGPT, on the work computers in the ministry, ANAF, and the Romanian Customs Authority.

This decision was adopted on May 15, according to Ministerial Order no. 543, aimed at strengthening cybersecurity in the context of the current geopolitical situation. The measures include restrictions on USB ports, personal email addresses, cloud storage platforms, and artificial intelligence tools.

Additionally, a law currently in Parliament stipulates that public institutions will no longer be able to communicate officially through personal emails.

These actions underscore the importance of data protection in public institutions.
